Dr. Amalu is founder and clinical director of the Pacific Chiropractic and Research Center in California, USA. Dr. Amalu brings over 17 years of thermal imaging experience to patient care. In partnership with William Hobbins, MD of Thermal Image Analysis, Inc., his center provides over 40 years of clinical excellence in thermographic analysis and interpretation.
Similar to a radiologist who reads x-rays for outside offices, Dr. Amalu is a board certified thermologist who also reads thermograms for outside imaging centers. Dr. Amalu currently provides thermogram interpreting services for over 25 imaging centers worldwide.
In his capacity as the President of the International Academy of Clinical Thermology, Dr. Amalu instructs physicians worldwide in the science and interpretation of thermal imaging. He also lectures worldwide in both university and public venues to increase awareness and utilization of this lifesaving procedure.
Dr. Amalu's personal experience with breast cancer has left him with a determination to do all he can to prevent other women from going through this terrible disease. On October 6, 1999, Dr. Amalu lost his sister Robin to a 5 year battle with breast cancer. At the age of 47, she left two young daughters and the love of her life. She had faithfully listened to her doctor and had both physical exams and mammograms as recommended. Her mammograms missed her tumors, first in one breast and then later in the other. The sizes of the lumps were large, easily felt, and missed on the images. If breast thermography had been available to Robin she may have still been with us. If we could make breast thermography available to women on a broader scale, the face of this horrible disease would be changed worldwide.
Dr. Amalu is currently working on establishing a non-profit 501c(3) foundation in honor of his late step-sister. The Robin Gamper Memorial Breast Health Foundation will be able to increase awareness of this technology, fund further research, and provide services to women who cannot afford screening. Please feel free to get involved by letting other women know about this lifesaving procedure.
