THERMAL DIAGNOSTICS LIMITED
These images are Primary Reformer Tubes. Infrared Inspection showed that one tube was overheating. It was concluded that the reason for this overheating was due to the internal Catalysts being excessively compacted which was causing a gas flow restriction.
If this problem went unidentified and unrepaired the tube could have overheated to the point of rupture causing a catastrophic failure.
