The above images are of a Primary Steam Reformer used in an Ammonia Production Plant. Infrared Inspections revealed major refractory damage at the lower levels of the Reformer. This information was helpful in planning the next Plant Turnaround by quantifying how much Time and Materials were needed to repair these areas.
The above images are of a Transfer Piping lined with refractory. Infrared Inspections revealed major refractory degradation which could lead to catastrophic failure. Temporary corrective measures were taken to reduce the surface temperature and weekly Infrared monitoring inspections were done until permanent repairs could have been done.
